PotoP VMS Studio runs your cameras from one server and shows them wherever you need them: a multi-monitor control room, a browser or a phone. AI detection runs on your own hardware, a standby server takes over when the primary fails, and every connection is encrypted with certificates the system issues itself.
PotoP VMS Studio is a professional video management system for installers and control rooms. It records ONVIF and RTSP cameras, puts any mix of them on multi-monitor video walls and finds the moment that matters with an event timeline, AI detections on the recordings and encrypted, watermarked exports. AI analysis — people, vehicles, poses, plates and faces, with search across cameras — runs on your own GPU or AI accelerator, never in a cloud. Live floor plans show cameras, doors, lights and intercoms with their real state. A standby server mirrors the primary and takes over by itself, RAID health is always in view, and a built-in certificate authority, fine-grained permissions, two-factor sign-in and a full audit trail keep it secure. PotoP Enterprise Suite brings planning, field service, projects, engineering, hours, payroll, purchasing, invoicing and bookkeeping together in one web application that runs on your own server. Every module is licensed on its own. Chat is end-to-end encrypted, passwords live in a zero-knowledge vault and sign-in works with passkeys. Connected to PotoP VMS Studio, camera faults become service calls by themselves.
PotoP Enterprise Suite (PES) runs the company behind the work. Planners drag jobs onto a board, people in the field see their day on the phone, service calls arrive with an SLA clock and the hours that are booked flow into payroll and invoices without being typed twice. Engineering draws systems visually and keeps certificates and documents with the project; finance works in the same data with double-entry books, VAT and bank payments. It is made for any company that plans work, sends people out and invoices for it — installers, service and maintenance firms, contractors and facility teams — and it runs on your own server with passkeys, end-to-end encrypted chat and a local AI assistant. Companies that also use PotoP VMS Studio go faster still: failures open service calls automatically and designs are programmed into the VMS server in one step. PotoP OS turns standard hardware into a ready-to-run PotoP video appliance. Based on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, it installs from a USB stick with every PotoP application and driver in place. It is secure from the first boot: no default passwords, keys generated on each machine, hardened SSH, sandboxed services, checksum- and signature-verified updates with automatic rollback, and no telemetry.
PotoP OS is a complete, hardened Linux system for video and security work, based on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with the KDE Plasma desktop. It installs from a USB stick with the PotoP server, desktop client, web client, player and drivers already wired together; graphics cards from NVIDIA, AMD and Intel are set up at first boot and Hailo and Axelera AI accelerators are supported. Security is built in rather than bolted on: the installer creates a named administrator and no default passwords, signing and encryption keys are generated on each machine, SSH is hardened with automatic bans, PotoP's background services run sandboxed, and HTTPS is switched on in one step with the built-in certificate authority. Updates are checksum- and signature-verified, taken after a snapshot and rolled back automatically if they fail — and nothing updates or reboots unless you decide so. No telemetry, no cloud. Two Android apps that connect straight to your own servers. PotoP VMS for Android puts camera walls, playback, floor plans, the softphone and alarms in your pocket, with fingerprint sign-in and a pinned server certificate. PotoP Enterprise Suite for Android gives field staff and planners their jobs, service calls, the live map, timesheets and encrypted chat. Notifications come from your own server — no Google push service in between.
